  5. sprinkle over chocolate chips (optional) (or nuts)
  6. bake for 25 – 30 min or until the top is no longer shiny. keep an eye on it. don’t let it burn. we are looking for a crunchy surface
  7. allow it to cool completely. then cut and serve.

NOTES

  • you can add nuts, seeds whatever you fancy into the batter and bake.
  • keep an eye on them the last few minutes, take it out once the top stiffens. don’t allow them to burn.
  • allow it to cool completely before you cut.
  • if you like thicker brownies, just double the quantity of all the ingredients.
  • store them in an air-tight container with a piece of greaseproof between each brownie. as with all baked goods, brownies too are best when eaten as soon as they are baked.
  • however if you wish to freeze them – wrap each piece in multiple layers of cling wrap and lock them in zip-lock bags, freeze
