Guinisang Chayote Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cloves garlic.minced
  • 2 medium tomatoes,chopped
  • 1 small onion,diced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 pound chayote,peeled, cored and sliced thin
  • 1 medium carrots,peeled and sliced thin
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 pound pork butt,cutt into thin strips

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Saute the garlic and onions in hot oil in a skillet until the garlic is light brown.Add tomatoes and saute for 2 minutes more.Add the water soy sauce ,fish sauce and pepper and simmer for 2-3 minutes
  2. Add chayote and carrots,cover and cook for 6-8 minutes,or until slightly tender
  3. serve with white rice..
