Bibingkang Dulum (Steamed Baby Fish) Recipe


  • 1 lb (500 g) Dulum (baby fish)
  • Juice of 10 calamansi (juice of one lime)
  • 3 medium tomatoes cut into quarters
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 banana leaf 12″ X 12″
  • coconut oil (olive oil will do)
  • Salt & Pepper

  1. Wash the dulum & drain in a colander, set aside
  2. Fry garlic till fragrant then add the dulum cook 2 min then season with salt & pepper
  3. turn off the fire and add the juice, stir until well mixed
  4. move the fish onto the banana leaf, top it with the quartered tomatoes
  5. wrap it in the banana & place in an oiled Frying Pan with lid
  6. Cook over low heat for 15-20 min
  7. garnish with sliced calamansi (lime wedges)
